Day 2
After a ride from Entebbe, where we landed, we got to see a lot of Uganda, from Lake Victoria all the way to Iganga. We all piled into a big bus with lots of water and a quick stop for some roadside snacks (chicken on a stick for most, cooked bananas for others).
After a rest at the guest house, we took the walk over to Musana to see the beautiful children. They were SUPER excited to see everyone. They busted out of the gate before we even got there and greeted us with hugs and smiles.
We went to a short welcome at the chapel and spent the rest of the time letting the children pull us to where they wanted us to go. There was even a basketball game eventually.
After our time there, we hoofed it back to the guest house for dinner and bed. Everyone would have sworn it was 10:30pm when we hit the hay but it was 8:00. Most of the team slept well, with a couple exceptions and we felt caught up to the time change this morning.
