October 2012 | Uganda | Day 7
Today, Sunday, we got up and went to Musana to worship with the students. When we arrived they were already singing, dancing and playing the drums. Evidently we got there a bit early and I found out later from Pastor Edward that they actually started about an hour early. He said the kids were too excited and wanted to start so they just went ahead. We weren’t aware of any of that until Andrea, Leah and Haril arrived with the older students and we were just wrapping up. The singing and dancing was really good. There were a couple of songs most of us knew, mixed in with some we for sure didn’t know.
After we worshipped together, we had lunch – rice, beans and beef then some serious games of basketball and volleyball with the older kids and some serious games of candyland, go fish and legos with the smaller kiddos.
We spent a couple of hours in the afternoon finishing up Bible 101 with the kiddos, covering the New Testament. Once again, some good discussions with the students and some good competitions to see what people remembered.
We finished off the day again at Sol Café for dinner. Ron
