If you are coming to check out flatirons for the first time or if you are bringing a visitor for the first time, WELCOME!  Your first step is to stop by the table located on the west side of lobby, near our tots room, and fill out an INFO CARD so that we can get your child checked into their room.  Once this card is filled out simply take it to the computer check-in greeters and they will enter your information in our system and get your security ID tags printed out for the day.  The great thing about our new system is the next time you come back you are already in our computers!  Once your child has an ID tag you may take them into their room.  See below for room details!

Your children will need to be checked into our children’s ministry before you can drop them off in their appropriate room.  If you are in our system you may check your child in at any of the touch screen computer stations located in the lobby by punching in the last 4 digits of your phone number.  If you are new or visiting our church please see the instructions under “where to go when you arrive.”  When you check your child in please wait for both the child’s tag and the parents tag.  Your child will receive the tag with their name on it and you keep the other tag for pick up at the end of the service.  Please do not lose your tag!!  Once your child has been checked in you can drop them off in their room.

We love that kids want to stay with their friends or siblings; however our rooms are designed for specific age groups.  The program, games and toys in your child’s room are specially designed for them.  If your child brings a friend or sibling and they of different ages, we will welcome them each into their age-appropriate classrooms for the hour.

Our number one goal is to take care of your kids and keep them safe.  How do we do this?

ID Tags:  When you check your child in at the computer stations you receive 2 ID tags; one tag for you and one for your child.  At the top of each of your tags you will notice an ID number.  Your number matches your child’s number.  When you pick up your child at the end of service the room host will check you and your child out based on these matching numbers.  If you lose your sticker or your child loses theirs, a staff member will check you out.  We will always ask to see a photo ID in this situation.

Our volunteers:  All of our volunteers have been cleared through a national background check for safety!  We value your trust and we will not put any unsafe leaders in their classroom.

If your child has special needs, whether that might be a food allergy, medical condition or learning challenge, please let our staff know.  We would love to provide any special care that your child might need.

Your child can expect to have a great time in our Children’s Ministry!  We run curriculum for ages 2 and older.  For our rooms where a lesson is taught, your child can expect 15-20 minutes of play time followed by worship and large group teaching.  After teaching time your kids will break up into age appropriate small groups and either have fun working on a craft, eating a snack (TOTS and TODDLER rooms only) or talking with a small group leader.  If your child is in one of our Nursery rooms we will love on and play with your babies while providing diaper changes, feeding, any other “care” needs.
