Musana VBS Week 1

Trip Details

Flatirons is sending a group to help Musana implement their annual VBS for children.  Trip applicants should enjoy working with children and be strong team players.  The purpose of the trip is 1) to come alongside Musana and support their primary school by participating in their VBS; and 2) to return home sharing the good work of Musana by becoming an advocate to your family, friends, and co-workers. Learn more about Musana from their website.

Flatirons is sending a group to help Musana implement their annual VBS for children.  Trip applicants should enjoy working with children and be strong team players.  The purpose of the trip is 1) to come alongside Musana and support their primary school by participating in their VBS; and 2) to return home sharing the good work of Musana by becoming an advocate to your family, friends, and co-workers.  Anyone may apply for this trip; however, first preference will be given to those who call Aurora Campus home.  Learn more about Musana from their website.

Musana Medical

Trip Details

Flatirons is sending a group of medical professionals to Iganga, Uganda to work with our partner Musana.  The purpose of the trip is to provide healthcare to the neighboring communities surrounding Musana.  A team of medical professional fits within the scope of Musana’s sustainability model because the team informs villages of the available care available at Musana’s medical clinic.  Additionally, it tangibly shows the community that Musana cares about the marginalized. The team can also expect to gain an understanding of the methodology and operations of Musana which make them so great. Learn more about Musana from their website.

  • Flatirons Short-term trips
  • Summer cultural emersion internship is for anyone 18 and over. Applications open in October for the 2019 summer and selection will happen in December 2018. musana.org/intern
  • Medical professionals, Vocational professionals (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tailoring) or STEM Teachers who may want to spend 3 months to a year at Musana sharing their skill or professionalism with Musana staff.
