Each summer, we take a "time out" to go back and do some evaluating to see if we are "on track", as individuals and as a church community. What's that mean? It means this...everyone of us is on a journey. The "track" of our past has led us to where we are today and that same track will lead us into the future. The question we will be asking is this…"Is this where we want to go?" If things continue, if nothing changes, if we keep going the way we're going, where will we end up? Second question: "Is that where you want to end up?" Or, maybe, there’s a better way—to do life, to do love, to do relationships, to do church.

Summer is here! School is wrapping up and the pools are opening. Summer brings back a lot of memories. Most of us have a memory of the first time we jumped off a diving board, or better yet, a high dive. There is nothing like that feeling of letting go, of going all in. To jump requires ALL of you, Mind, Body and Soul. What would it look like to live our lives in the same way? Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love God with ALL your heart, with ALL your soul, with ALL your mind and with ALL your strength.

All my life, I've been searching for some really big answers to some really big questions, like "Who am I...really? Why am I here? How much am I worth? What's the point of my life? How does God fit into my life? If I want God in my life, why do I need Jesus? Is it even important that I search for answers?" Those are great questions. Here's one more..."Would the rest of my life be different if I finally discovered the answers to the questions that I've been trying to figure out All My Life?"

For many of us there are some major roadblocks to buying into this whole Christianity thing.  Often those roadblocks come in the form of questions that we feel need to be answered.  Big questions like, "If there is a God and He is good, why does He allow evil and suffering to continue?” This four week workshop seeks answers to that question and several other "Big Questions About Christianity".

A Habitat is a place where something or someone lives. It might be a house, a hut or a palace...but, bottom line, it's where you live your life. Houses may be made out of different materials and look very different, but all houses have one thing in common. If they aren't built on a solid foundation, when a storm rolls in, the house will fall apart. Jesus said houses...and life...are very similar. In this series, we are going to find out what he meant.

In this series, we're going to be looking at the concept of having "margin" in your life? What does that mean? It means arranging your life so that you have some space to be available for what God may want to do in your life.
If you have more things to do than you have time to do them, that's called stress. If you spend more money then you make, that's called debt. But, if you intentionally rearrange even the small parts of your life, your time and your money, you will surprised to not only find margin...you'll also
find...peace.

Some things were just meant to go together. They’re fine on their own, but when combined with something else...wow...it’s a whole new experience. That can be a good thing or it can be a disaster. If one compliments the other, it can be awesome—we’ll go back for more. But if the two things were never meant to be together, or if one tries to overpower the other, the results can be nauseating. What’s true with food is true with people, especially when it comes to love and respect.

Whenever you are hiking, running or riding on a trail it's important to know where you are going — and to recognize markers along the way that will get you there. Our goal is to be the kind of church Jesus had in mind when He thought it up. In this series we will explore the markers — or values — along the way that keep us heading in the right direction.

The Bible says that Jesus came to set us "free". But, what happens when people start (mis)using what Jesus had in mind and find themselves all locked up with a new set of rules, chains and cages? This month, we're going to try to break free from some of these prisons that have caused some of us to be locked in...and some of us to be locked out.

Spring is in the air and things are starting to turn green and grow. Lawn mowers have replaced snow shovels and gardeners and farmers are dusting off their equipment to get ready for the spring planting. In this series, Jesus is going to teach us that what is true for the garden is also true for our lives. It doesn't take a green thumb to make things grow -- it just takes good soil.

There is no worse feeling than coming to the end of something and discovering that what you were counting on, depending on or looking forward to couldn't—or wouldn't—deliver what you had hoped for. You've spent money, time and energy that you can't get back. Sometimes it's no big deal; a few dollars here, a couple of hours there. But, what do you do when you realize that you're wasting your life?

Almost everybody remembers the game "Operation" where the goal was to remove different parts of the patient's body without setting off the buzzer. In real life, many of us are carrying around some "parts" that we wish could be removed, fixed or replaced that easily—but it's going to take more than a giant pair of tweezers. It's going to take someone who really knows what they're doing to perform this kind of "operation."

Nobody likes to stay home sick with a 24-hour bug, get a flat tire on the way to work or school, or miss a flight to an important business meeting. It interrupts our plans and throws our busy schedules into chaos. But, flat tires and missed appointments seem like nothing when something "really" big interrupts life. What do I mean by "interrupts"? Simple. Everything goes on "hold" until you figure out the big stuff...like your marriage, your family, your health, your financial security. What do you do when the big stuff–your life–gets interrupted?

Hide and Seek. When you're a kid, it's a fun game. But, one day you realize that what you're hiding from...and what you're seeking...is much more serious than a game. Let's take it to another level. The stakes get even higher when you realize that certain things have been hidden from you...and...there's something, or someone, out there...searching for you.
