Don't Worry....Be Happy
So, I've always been a futuristic thinker. NO, I don't mean that I day dream about flying cars and robots, but I do like to know what my future holds. I am a planner, and knowing what is next makes me calm and relaxed. The thing is, often times when I make plans God changes them in a heartbeat anyway. I can have years of my life planned out and in one day God can say “Chris I know you had your heart set on this but I have different plans for you” ….

on the rocks
Ever been to Moab? I love it there. I recently spent 3 days in the beautiful and majestic Utah camping mecca. It sometimes feels like I’m on another planet. There are so many caves to explore and rock walls to climb. I love scrambling around the different rock walls and taking in the awe inspiring landscape.

Flatirons Interns are a very valuable part of the College Ministry and Flatirons Community Church. We now have TWO types of internships available: the Staff Internship which is a year-long, full-time, paid position and the Student Internship which is a four-month, part-time, non-paid position. Please see the details below. Selection is based on maturity, stage of life, ministry experience, commitment, motivation, goals, background, and if the applicant will work well with the staff team.
- 12 Months of Real Ministry Experience
- 50+ Hours Weekly: Major Role (36 hours), Minor Role (8 hours), Training/Development (8 hours)
- Paid Position – Based on amount fundraised (once budget proposal is approved).
We accept applicants who have recently obtained a college degree or have received professional experience AND are called to vocational ministry. We prefer applicants to have prior ministry experience and require a heart for learning and leading.
- January 1 to begin internship April 1
- March 1 to begin internship July 1
- May 1 to begin internship September 1
- August 31 to begin internship December 1

We accept applicants who have an interest in assisting Merge staff with administrative tasks, event planning and execution, as well as other needs of the college-aged ministry. We prefer applicants to have prior admin and technical skill experience and require a heart for learning and serving others.

- August 1 to begin internship September 1

is an intentional weekend experience created for college students from churches and groups all over the Front Range. With so much going on in our lives, its time to push pause and rethink how we are living our lives and refocus our hearts towards things that matter. Over the course of 3 days, we will discover what it means to live out Micah 6:8. ”To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God”. Have you ever asked yourself, "what does it mean to follow Jesus"? Or "what does that even look like, and am I doing it"? Twelve is an intentional exploration of 12 topics that help define what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
One of the most defining times in the life of a follower of Jesus is the intentional, dedicated effort to study truth through God’s Word, wrestling with it by thinking about it, talking with God and others about it, and finally, by actually doing something about it. As we connect with Truth at these different levels, it gives God an opportunity to grow us spiritually and change us from the inside out bringing us closer to Him and showing us a better way to live this life.
That’s what this resource is all about. Learning from each other how to better follow Jesus.
