Kids get to explore their new spaces! Preschoolers moving into Elementary (incoming Kindergartners), and 5th graders check out Middle School Connect.
An exclusive evening just for incoming 6th graders, plus a parent info meet & greet. This will happen at all campuses in the Student Ministry space.
Celebrate the start of summer with our Flatirons Student Ministry. This will be the first full Student Ministry event for your 6th grader to attend.
The big day! Every kid and student officially begins in their new ministry home.
Throughout the month of June, kids age 4 through 5th grade will have the opportunity to transition into their new spaces at each of our campuses. While our campuses all share the same heart and mission, our buildings are laid out a little differently. To find exactly where your child's new environment is, you can email or check with your local campus.
We're here to help! If you miss the first weekend or have questions about where to go, don’t worry! Our New Family teams and Flatirons Kids staff are available every weekend to help you navigate the hallways and find the perfect spot for your family. We can’t wait to see your kids step into this next chapter.
Our early childhood spaces provide a safe, secure, and engaging environment where our youngest kids can begin their journey with Jesus. Our volunteers are dedicated to showing every child they are seen and loved through music, play, and simple Bible stories.
The Experience: This environment is designed to incite wonder. Whether your child is a newborn or a toddler, they will be placed in a space that matches their developmental stage. To keep things safe and organized, we use a secure check-in system. You will receive a security tag to claim your child, and your child will wear a matching name tag as well as a second name tag to give to the volunteers in the room. If we need to reach you during the service, your security code will appear on the screens in the auditorium.
Preschool at Flatirons is more than just childcare; it’s an intentional program designed specifically for your child’s age. We want every preschooler to know that they are known and valued by God.
The Experience: Preschoolers participate in a Large Group experience where they engage in high-energy worship and hear a Bible story presentation. The rest of their time is spent in small groups for activities and play.
Potty Training: If your child is still potty training, just let our volunteers know! We are happy to help them to the restroom or change diapers as needed.
Check-In: You will receive a security tag to claim your child, and your child will wear a matching name tag as well as a second name tag to give to the volunteers in the room.
Weekends in Elementary are all about fun and building a foundation for faith. We provide a culturally relevant environment where kids can build relationships with peers and consistent adult leaders who see them the way Jesus does.
The Experience: Each weekend includes a mix of Large Group teaching (worship, games, and Bible stories) and Small Group time. We believe faith is best grown in the context of relationships, so your child will be matched with a consistent leader to help them process what they’re learning. Every month, we highlight a virtue (like forgiveness or courage), a Memory Verse and a Bottom Line to help you continue the conversation at home.
Move Up Month takes place throughout the month of June. We use this time to intentionally move up kids into their next phase. For most children, the transition begins the weekend of June 6/7, but our teams are ready to help your child settle in whenever you are able to join us.
Since our campus buildings are all a bit different, the best way to find your child's new environment is to check your specific Campus Map.
Preschool transitions are generally based on age and developmental milestones.
Elementary transitions are based on the grade your child is entering for the upcoming school year.
Don't worry! We know that transitions can be a big deal for kids (and parents). If you miss the first weekend or if your child needs a little extra time to adjust, our New Family teams, Flatirons Kids staff and Flatirons Kids volunteers are available every weekend to help you navigate the halls and ensure your child feels welcome and seen.
The heart of our security remains the same across all environments. You will still check in at a kiosk to receive a security tag for yourself and a matching name tag for your child. While the physical location of the check-in stations or the pickup doors may vary by campus, our commitment to safety and our secure tag-matching process is identical in every room.
For many of our kids, Move Up Month is simply a continuation of the great relationships they've already started building. If your child is staying in their current environment, June is still an exciting time! Our leaders are stoked to dive deeper into the content and help your child grow even further in their walk with Jesus.
Flatirons Students exists to bring the awesome life of Christ to students in a lost and broken world. We believe every student matters and was never meant to do life or faith alone. Our heart is to help students build meaningful relationships with trusted adult leaders, experience Jesus personally, and take next steps in their faith.
We want every student to be known, valued, and connected — finding friends, belonging, and a place to grow. Through Sunday gatherings, midweek groups, and rally nights, we create spaces where students can have fun, ask honest questions, and discover the freedom and purpose found in following Jesus.
Students meet every Wednesday Night from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Flatirons Church campuses. Depending on the week, they could be meeting in their Groups or experiencing an epic night when all campuses come together for Rally
Groups are where real-life change happens. This is where students build friendship, ask honest questions, and begin forming a faith that last through powerful worship, challenging teaching, and small groups that meet you where you are.
Rally is our biggest student nights of the year. It’s a high-energy gathering for 6th-12th graders from all campuses to come together for a night of fun, worship, and a powerful message that always leads to challenge. Whether you’re new to church, been in church your entire life, or you’re unsure about Jesus and faith… this is the night for you! Rally is the place to have fun, bring your friends, and experience Jesus in a real and powerful way. Our next Rally will be in the fall.
On the weekends, students are an important part of our church. Middle schoolers can be part of MS Connect, a space designed just for them to build friendships and grow in their faith. We also encourage students to serve on teams across the church and to sit together in weekend services so they can worship, learn, and be part of the church community together.
Summer Camp is the best way for your incoming 6th grader to get connected with our Student Ministry! Located in the stunning Estes Park, from August 3-7, we promise many fun, crazy, and hilarious moments that your student will remember forever while also connecting with caring adults and making friends. During Summer Camp week, your student will be guided toward building lifelong relationships that will enrich their lives long after camp is over.
Your student will officially step into our Middle School ministry, where there are two main ways to get connected:
MS Connect (Sunday mornings during services): A smaller, more relational environment where students build community, open the Bible, and take steps in their faith.
Wednesday Nights: Our main weekly gathering — high energy, worship, a relevant message, and small groups where students can build real friendships.
We encourage students to be part of both. One helps them go deeper, the other helps them get connected.
Your student will step into our High School ministry, where the goal shifts from just attending to owning their faith.
Wednesday Nights: Our main weekly gathering — worship, a relevant message, and small groups where students can build strong community and be known by leaders.
Sundays (Attend + Serve): We encourage high school students to attend a weekend service and get involved by serving somewhere in the church. This is where faith becomes personal… living it out, not just hearing about it.
Yes. Every student is placed in a grade + gender-based small group with consistent leaders. Our goal is that your student is known by name and has a trusted adult investing in them.
Yes! We coach our leaders to reach out to all our parents so that you know who your student's leader is. Also, you are always welcome to come check out our youth group — just show up and we will allow you to hang in the back of the room and experience a night.
Encourage them to show up consistently for the first couple months.
Help them invite a friend to come with them.
Incoming 6th Graders: Attend the 6th grade preview night on May 27th.
