God So Loved The World - Week 1

June 5-6, 2021 |

When it comes to confidence, we might try and base it on what we do well or what a teacher or parent might say about us. But true confidence should be built on something that lasts forever. We think that’s found in understanding how God sees us. God created us, and God loves us.

GROUP Q&A

  1. How do we know God loves us? (He sent Jesus)
  2. How does knowing that God loves us help us to be confident? (Discuss)
  3. Do you think you are very confident? Where is your confidence coming from: God or something else? (Discuss, help lead the kids in understanding what it can look like to place our confidence in something else, without shaming)
  4. What does it mean to have confidence and see yourself the way God sees you? (It means our confidence comes from God and nothing else. So when people are mean, or bad things happen, we still know who we are and how much God loves us)
  5. What is something that can help you remember to have confidence because of how God sees you? (Help the kids come up with ideas and share. Maybe it’s memorizing a Bible verse, or writing a list of things God helped you to be good at)
