This week we’re looking at the Netflix series, “All American” and how our true identity is different than where we’re from or what sport we play. With so many things in this world trying to tell us what our identity is, it’s important for us to hold on to what God has to say about us.
Talk it over:
- How do you define identity?
- What are some of the “identities” the world might’ve placed on you?
- Have you ever faced something in your life that you thought you could not come back from, like the character Olivia did?
- What are some of the “identities” you’ve placed on yourself?
- Who does God say you are? What identity does he give you?
- Why should we live in the identity God gives us VS the one the world (and ourselves) gives us?
