The Netflix series Outerbanks features a close knit group of friends on an epic treasure hunt hoping to buy their way to a different future. Though if you look more closely, it’s about the desire to escape the circumstances they were born into confining them to a life of monotony. This week we talk about how despite our circumstances, our past, and our mistakes, Jesus determines our potential and gives us a shot at a different, more meaningful future.
Icebreaker:

- Who is your favorite character?
- Do you relate more to the Pogues? Or the Kooks?
Middle School Questions:
- Describe what you want your future to look like in one word.
- Do you think that future is possible for someone like you? Why or why not?
- How does Jesus change that, or bring you closer to that?
- How does following Jesus change your future?
High School Questions:
- What has the world or people in your life told you about your potential?
- What do you want your future to look like?
- What has the world told you if that is possible or not?
- How does having Jesus in your life change that for you?
