Peter Baptizes Gentiles - Week 4

May 16-17, 2020 |

In this four-week series, kids will learn that God sent the Holy Spirit to help us. God’s spirit helps us understand his word and remember the teachings of Jesus. His spirit gives us faith and prompts us to serve others. And the Holy Spirit unites all kinds of people with his love and the good news of Jesus.

"God sent his son ... to save the world through him," John 3:17.

Story activity

God sent us an amazing helper, the Holy Spirit! To better understand today's lesson, print out and read the following activity sheet. Gather your friends and family to learn how God wants us to help others, just like the Holy Spirit!

  1. God showed Peter a vision and told him to teach who about Jesus? (ALL people—even the Gentiles)
  2. Why did the Holy Spirit help Peter meet Cornelius? (Cornelius wanted to know about Jesus and Peter could teach him.)
  3. What did Peter tell Cornelius and his family? (Jesus came to reconnect all people back to God.)
  4. What happened when Cornelius and his family believed? (The Holy Spirit came to be their helper, too.)
  5. What was our bottom line today? (The Holy Spirit helps me share the good news of Jesus.)
  6. How can you share the good news of Jesus with people around you? (Let kids respond.)
