Relentless Conviction - Week 2

February 21, 2021 | By Ben Foote

Before we can really start to live out our compelling vision for our lives, we need to learn how to overcome the obstacles that are sure to come. Jesus modeled how to effectively do this when He was faced with temptation in the wilderness. By identifying lies and replacing them with truth, we can overcome the obstacles that try to keep us from our vision.

Who God Says You Are

You are enough

Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

You are not your sin

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

God chose you

1 Peter 2:9-10
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

You are made for so much more

Philippians 3:20
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

You are more than adequate

Romans 8:37-39
…We are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You are not a mistake

Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

You are powerful

2 Timothy 1:7
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
