What's Next - Week 7

October 17, 2021 | By Jim Burgen

With the 35 day challenge coming to an end, we remember that day 35 is not a finish line but the start of a whole new way of living closer to God.

      1. As a group, read Philippians 3:12-14. What do you notice? What questions does it raise for you?

Paul says that he presses on to “take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” What is it the “that” Paul is so determined to take hold of?

      2. Jim shared two reasons why we may have not yet finished the 35 Day Challenge:

        1. Frustration and/or forgetfulness.

        2. A perceived lack of benefit.

      3. For those of us who have not yet finished, which one of these resonates with you? Why do you think that is?
      4. What benefits have (or will) come from turning the 35 Day Challenge into a habitual pursuit of God?

      5. How were the individual challenges (bodily discipline, applying the word of God, prayer, service and sacrifice) expressed in the life of Jesus? In turn, what do they tell us about what God considers to be important and meaningful in life?
